La Laguna Coupage Olive Oil
La laguna coupage is an olive oil for cooking, it is an extra virgin olive oil freshly squeezed cold that keeps all its properties. Or what is the same, authentic olive juice.
In addition, as its name indicates, it is a blend and therefore has had the wisdom of the master of the oil mill when mixing the different varieties of olives. This is not an easy task and requires a lot of experience and technique.
Its aroma and flavor are of great balance, harmony and elegance. Something that allows us to enjoy a complexity of green and ripe aromatic nuances of the Picual, Picuda and Hojiblanca olive varieties. Its entry into the mouth is very sweet, appreciating notes of ripe almonds and herbs. Finally, the bitterness is almost non-existent and the itching very weak.
On the farms where the olives are harvested, the olive trees are found at an altitude of between 300 and 700 m, and it is a traditional mountain olive grove with a high slope. The area has a continental Mediterranean climate with average rainfall and marked temperature fluctuations. And the soil is clayey with a high content of calcium carbon. Likewise, the harvesting of the olives takes place from the end of November to January and the techniques used are mechanized and manual shaking.
Producer
La Laguna is the original brand of its producer, Sucesores de Hermanos López. An oil mill with more than a century and a half of existence and located in the town of Luque (Córdoba). On the other hand, this brand gets its name from the farm where the olives are harvested to obtain this juice, La Laguna del Salobral or del Conde.
In addition to this brand, they also produce and market Morellana, a brand of monovarietal olive oils with which they have won numerous competitions and which are considered Premium olive oil.
